For the next tasting event of the “Lesvos Gastronomy” series, which will take place on Thursday August 3rd, 2023 at 11:00 am – 1pm, the Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest is collaborating with the Skalochori Women Agritourism Cooperative!

Do you enjoy embarking on mysterious missions, solving riddles and puzzles, immersing yourself in nature’s beautiful landscapes? Would you like to walk inside a petrified forest and lose yourself in it while it unveils its deepest secrets to you?


The Global Birdfair took place on 14th - 16th July in Rutland (Leicester), UK.

The Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest represented the island of Lesvos, informing visitors of its marquee about the island’s birdwatching opportunities!

The marquee received attention and positive feedback from birdwatchers from all over the world!


New event and scientific presentation at the Petrified Forest Park at Bali Alonia on Wednesday July 19, 2023 at 11 am

We invite visitors of the Petrified Forest of Lesvos to join us on Wednesday July 19th on another exploration and informative talk which will take place at the Petrified Forest Park in the Bali Alonia region.


The Museum is organizing a series of events to narrate the story of the earth and the creation of Lesvos!

Join us this Friday July 14, 2023 to taste this season’s traditional “chachles” cooked in the oven with tomato and graviera cheese from Mesotopos!

Come taste the love-ful taste-ful work of the Mesotopos Women Agritourism Cooperative!

Come listen as the earth of Lesvos narrates its story!
