The Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest welcomes the new year by "illuminating" the building externally, not just for the holiday period, but for the whole year sending a message of optimism during this difficult period. Especially this year, which marks the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Museum, the facade lighting highlights the architectural shell within the natural environment and makes it a reference point in the night landscape of the village of Sigri.

The Museum’s new night lighting is part of a series of projects that are underway to upgrade the infrastructure of the building, with the aim of significantly reducing the annual primary energy consumption of the building as part of the "Energy upgrade of the Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest " that has been included in the Operational Program "North Aegean 2014-2020".
