On Friday 14 May, the Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest reopens to the public and is ready to welcome you with new findings that are exhibited at the museum for the first time, after the completion of the re-exhibition works of the permanent exhibition hall, dedicated to the Petrified Forest of Lesvos.

At the same time, the Parks of the Petrified Forest of Sigri and Plaka will reopen too. The two Parks are of particular interest as apart from the unique 20-million-year old fossilized trees they host, they are also an excellent habitat for orchids  and various bird species!

For more information and to buy an e-ticket, visit the museum’s website: https://lesvosmuseum.gr/en

All the covid-19 health protocols will be strictly followed. The use of masks is obligatory for all visitors!
