Autumn at the wetlands of Western Lesvos!

The nature excursions of the Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest and the Kalloni Enviromental Information Center aiming to promote the acquaintance of the public with the natural wealth of Lesvos Geopark are being continued!

This time we will go to one of the most important wetlands of Western Lesvos, Psaropotamos estuary in Skala Eressos. The area is part of a wider protected area. We will discover the elements that compose its great ecological value (habitat types, reptile species, birds, etc.) with emphasis on its role as a refuge for birds of the area at any time of year. Our tool will be once again the process of bird ringing.
