Vatoussa is one of the best preserved villages with its "Gogou" mansion which dominates the village. The Vatoussa library contains many important books and rare publications.

Particularly impressive are the beautiful old schools, especially the "Theofrastio" of Eressos and the elementary school of Mesotopos as well as the many impressive and imposing churches.

The visitor should also note the ruins of mosques, old baths and the multitude of Ottoman fountains which constitute the remains of the Ottoman empire.
